Cats and the Acropolis. Athens, Greece. August 8, 2019

I didn’t post yesterday. Yesterday was long, hot, and boring. We took the train from Lucca to Rome. A taxi from Rome to Ciampino, where the smaller airport is for Ryanair. We woke up at 3:45 am, got a taxi to the airport and arrived in Athens at 8:15 am. It was so early I don’t even remember doing any of that.

I love Athens, so nice to have this bonus day. It’s such a crazy city. Crowded, dirty, chaotic. But so interesting and the people are so nice. We didn’t do much today. Napped. Rested. Lavi and I walked to get some things from the health food store. We walked around the Plaka and then had dinner at a restaurant we found the first time we were here. We sat next to 2 couples from Australia, and talked with them the whole time.

Sad to say good-bye to Athens. Ok saying good-bye to Italy. Ready for the comforts of home, friends, family, our bed, Honey Bird, Moko and Sunny. And time at the pool. So glad it’s still summer!

We make our trek home tomorrow!
