My neighborhood painted this amazing mural today. I love it - so much color! I didn't help paint, but I did volunteer to be the photographer. Also, today, I was Zombie Tired. The end of a long school year. Two sick kiddos. A husband looking for a new job. A pishy cat. A busy week. Organizing the packing for sleep away camp. And, I got my period.

I watched The Color Purple. I love this movie. I love Celie and Nettie so much. I love Shug Avery. I hate Mister. I hate the rapist father. I love that she finally gets away. I love that she puts a knife to Mister's throat. He totally deserved it. This movie pains me, but there is also so much love. The women. Adam and Olivia. Africa. Nettie comes back.
