On a recent tea date with Stacie, Debbie was sitting nearby. I had never met Debbie before, but a friend of mine had shown me Debbie's gorgeous and powerful work. Portland is still a small town! Anyway, I was photographing Stacie when Debbie made bunny ears over her and voila! We met! I hope to have tea with her this winter.

Have you ever seen the movie Must Love Dogs? It is truly awful. So horrible. But, John Cusack is in it, and I love him. Of course you've seen Say Anything. If you have not, you must, immediately. Say Anything is an important movie for me, for my generation. Lloyd Dobler. The best. My comfort movies are romcoms, terrible, stupid, light as shit romcoms. I need a way to shut the world out. The world is too much and too much of the time I think that humans are the worst. I hate most humans. (Not you!).

I was supposed to teach yoga this morning, but I couldn't get into the building. There was a homeless person sleeping right in front of the entrance. I did not feel safe waking him up, so I called the non-emergency police. When Chena arrived, she was kind and brave, she approached him and woke him up. He got up immediately and cleared away all of his belongings. I noticed he did not have any teeth and he was quite young. He was probably younger than he looked. I thought, he is lost to the world. Where are the people who love him? He must have come from somewhere. He has nothing. No teeth. No home. No life. He left behind a filthy, used syringe. Is there any hope for this person? He is a person. He was a small boy. He is a man. Alone. Humans again, the worst. Our country should take better care of the lost ones. Our country throws people away, like trash. I especially hate our country right now, and by our country, I mean Trump. Trump is the King of the Worst.

That was a depressing rant. I took a nap today. I had a really fun photo shoot. I taught Prenatal Yoga to lovely women. See, not all humans are the worst. I can like some of them.
