The swamps in Florida are my most favorite thing about Florida. The amount of incredible wildlife in a swamp like this is astounding. Alligators, fish, turtles, snakes, snails, spoonbills, herons, egrets, salamanders, iguanas, lizards, on and on and on. When I was in elementary school, our class took a field trip to the everglades. It had a huge impact on me. Walking the boardwalks with alligators all around me. Roseate spoonbills, with their beautiful pink feathers. Great blue herons. Snowy egrets. Anhingas. I love them all.
