I had a lovely day today, even though I felt a bit anxious. Every year, around this time, my anxiety level goes up. The only way I can explain it is, I feel everyone's anxious holiday energy. Without fail, I feel it every year. This year it hit me a bit later than usual, probably because I'm so used to a higher level of anxiety every since the election.

Anywhoo. Today was, indeed, a lovely day. I bought some last minute Chanukah presents this morning. Then, my Mom and I went to Special Friends Day at school. This evening, my Mom made a delicious Chanukah dinner for us and my sweet and lovely friends joined us. My Mom's Chanukah latkes are the BEST, thank MOM! And her Catalina chicken tonight was on point. Ice cream for dessert, with chocolate sauce.

Tonight's Chanukah gifts: Boys got gift certificates for mani/pedis and cozy pajama pants. I gave Aaron a photograph of Honey Bird on the day we met her.
