Meghan, Toby and Baby.  April 9, 2017

Today was almost the day!  Meghan called, she was at the hospital, she thought she had a leak in her bag of water, which would mean Go Time. So, I folded a ton of laundry, I still need to pack! As I was folding laundry, I got the text that the test was negative.  Baby is not coming, yet.

I am going to be at the birth of my best friend's baby!  This brings me tremendous JOY!  I have never been at anyone's birth.  I have two sons, but it is different to be a supporting actress, rather than the star of the show.  I must admit, I am nervous.  I hope I can be a good source of support and comfort.  Plus, there will be lots of fluids.  Will it be messy?  Should I wear clothes that can get mucky? I hope I can be tough.  I bet I can be.  Meghan is the one who is going to be truly tough, I will be there to support her and Toby.  I cannot wait!  The anticipation is intense!  She is going to call me when she knows baby is coming, then I am going to jump into my car and head to La Grande, a town in Eastern Oregon about 4 1/2 hours from here. She is 38 weeks and 4 days along. I could get the call any second.

Last night I dreamed that I was at camp, in Maine.  I was freaking out because I had sloppily packed all of my things and I had not packed any underwear or socks.  Horrible stress dream! Must pack my things for La Grande, NOW!
