Reny's, Sue Cakes and Fort Knox. July 21, 2017
On this rainy and cool Monday, we dropped Aaron off in Belfast and had a day, just the boys and myself. First, we went to Reny's for bubble wrap. We then headed into town to FedEx to ship all of the loot we made and bought. It was expensive! Then, we had lunch at the Belfast Co-op while Aaron did laundry next door at the Belfast Laundromat. Lavi delivered his Reuben while we ate at the Co-op cafe. The boys had burgers. Lavi's had grilled onions and ketchup. Mayim's had lettuce, cheddar and ketchup. I had the hummus sandwich with lots of vegies and a delicious pickle on the side. Next, went went up the hill to Sue Cakes, a gluten free, dairy free, egg free bakery. We all ordered Whoopee Pies. They are fabulous and so is Sue. Then, we hit the road and headed to Fort Knox. Fort Knox was built between 1844 and 1869 and it is located on the west side of the Penobscot River. The boys thought it was pretty cool, we checked it out and then we hit the road back to Belfast. More grocery shopping. Another stop at Reny's for life preservers for the boys, we are going sailing tomorrow.
Today was mellow, the weather was gray and raining, but nice and calm. I love being with my boys, but I totally get why my dad threatened to "knock our heads together". The boys are constantly picking on each other, mutchering one another, driving me nuts! I told Lavi he lost his lobster privilege after he squished Mayim into the street post and then bashed his head into it. Now, when I want Lavi to shape up, I tell him he needs to earn his lobster back. (We postponed our lobster feast because of the rain). So, tomorrow that threat will still work and I'm going to keep using it.
I watched more Shameless, it is binge-a-rific. I love it. Lip and Ian are super hot. Just saying.
Also, I have almost finished reading Outlander, again. I don't want to finish it. I'm dragging out the last few chapters.
Love, Eden
