After Dinner. April 15, 2020

This is real life people. This shit is real, not staged for Instagram or Facebook. I hope you enjoy seeing our messy house.

Today was a fine day. I got my period a week early. I “went” to therapy, thank the universe for therapy. Therapy is the place where I learn how to have compassion for myself. It’s never second nature for me. Is it for you? For me it is work, but then when I try to do it, it helps so much. After therapy I got back into bed with my trusty heating pad and I got to be very quiet and spend time with Meghan. It was very soothing, and that helped me feel better. Somehow I eased myself into surrendering this day to being gentle to myself, I stopped giving myself a hard time, and I rested, for a little while.

I got to see Farmer Dan in person. We all had our masks on. He stayed a comfortable distance away, so considerate and kind. We talked about our garden and he brought back wonderful goodies for me from the plant nursery.

We had lunch. I had almond butter and strawberry jelly. We played our new favorite game, Kids Against Maturity. Then we had a visit with a friend on Zoom. Then a nap. Yay for naps! Leslie Knope helped me nap, she always does, I count on her and she delivers.

Aaron made pulled pork for dinner. Now I am here, with a headache. I’m going to take my vitamins and get back in bed. Today was a fine day.

Sending you lots of love.
