Thinking About Cyanotype

Self Portrait in the Hilton Bathroom.  June 23, 2016

Today I'm working on lesson plans.  Sandy and I are planning and scheming cool things we will make using cyanotype - a beautiful, alternative photographic process.  It is a deep blue, similar in color to indigo.

Today I learned that it is no longer possible to buy film for film cameras at Walgreens or Rite Aid.  The one roll of film they did have was $10.  And then, there is no place to process the color film.  Wow.  Stunning.  And sort of sad.  A thing of the past.

Tonight I had non-dairy Chunky Monkey Ben and Jerry's ice cream (Meghan would HATE it).  It was yum.  Tonight was the first of three lobster banquets that we have at camp.  I am going to get brave and eat lobster this year.  I haven't eaten lobster since before I got pregnant with Lavi and now I have an irrational fear that I will be allergic to it.  I know.  I know.  But this is how I work.  And maybe, hopefully, I will conquer this fear!!!  It is so possible!!!

Tomorrow Lavi and Mayim will move into their cabins!!  I'm so excited to have them here with me!  And the bonus is, Aaron and I get to have dates almost every night while our boys are at camp!

Today was so different than yesterday.  And that is how it goes.  Today I felt more familiar, more at ease.
